No grabbing of paper with deskjet-d1320
I'm not going to slam the deskjet hp printers its just mine has a paper problem, and now its starting to piss me off... I don't print things everyday but when I need a printer most of the time my is the one that works the best, and it has major issues... anyway the problem, some days it works great others not so much but the wheel that spins the paper up isn't grabbing the paper, I don't know if it's the paper or my printer...  then when I don't need it to grab the paper it does and it doesn't matter how paper is in there a large amount and a small amount or even medium I have tried all different amounts of paper and it doesn't grab it... most times if I want something printed out I have to manually feed the paper in... and now if it doesn't grab the paper then it leaves a mark on my paper... what do I do before I find out it will be just easier to throw it out the window next to me...

Afraid it would be easier to dump it. The 1320 was a low end printer. You can get a similar model (the dj1480) for $80.

I don't know how hard it is to get to, but those little rubber wheels that grab the paper don't work well with a build up of dust on them.

Can you get enough access to it to clean it off with some rubbing alcohol or head cleaner?

That just might do the trick, it always worked on my old cassette tape players?

Parts such as pickup rollers are often not available for low end printers. If you decide to get a new HP printer and want to be able to service it down the road, check out HP PartSurfer to see if parts are available before purchasing.

There are also Rubber Roller Rejuvenator products available, but I haven't used them.
