    Heat work but ac doesn't
I have installed a Hunter Programmable Thermostat model 44660. The heating works fine, but the A/C does not work. According to the display, the air is running, but nothing is coming out of the vents. While I know that the wiring colors are not always 100% accurate, I have the wiring set up as follows:

    Green:G
    White:W
    Yellow:Y
    Red:RH
    Orange:RC
And blue isn't connected said that it was for power for older thermostat.

Please let me know what to do thanks.

You need to remove the orange wire from RC and add a jumper wire from RH to RC at the thermostat. What did the orange wire go to on the old thermostat?

The orange went to O, so what would I do with it now?

It's a new ball game now that we know you have a heat pump. The Orange wire needs to go to the Y/O on the thermostat and the yellow to Y1. O is the reversing valve for cooling mode, Y1 is the compressor, first stage cooling and heating, W is second stage heat but I'm not for sure if you have a two stage heat, Heatpump thermostat.

Heat doesn't work correctly. [ 2 Answers ]

Hi, I have a Rheem forced-air electric heater which is at least 15 years old but probably more. I know it's not a 90%, but I don't know if it's 80% or natural draft. Sometimes it works fine, but many nights the blower will turn on but not the heat, so I'll wake up to a cold house. Turning it...
