    What do I have to File?
    Hi,
    I am living in Ohio, but working in New York for entirer 2007 year. I am new and this is my first time filling Tax Returned. Do I have to file for both state? What kind of procuder do I have to follow?
    Can someone advice me. Thank you in advance.

    Yes, you must file for Ohio as a resident and in NY as a non-resident.

    You will file NY return as nonresident and pay tax on all the income earned from NY sources.
    You will also file Ohio return and report all your income for 2007. On the Ohio return, you will claim credit for taxes paid to NY.
