    Free file for J1 visa
    Hello all,
Is free file option available for J1 visa having income less than $54000? Also can someone else file tax return for a J1 visa holder? If yes then are there any rules?

    Thank you

No, the free efiling option is for those who file as a resident alien.

You must file Form 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ, which CANNOT be efiled.
