    Standard Deduction for 1040 NR
    I was in US only for 52 days in 2007 ( Nov 11 to Dec 31) on L1A visa. Can I claim Standard deduction . I am not a student and I am from India.

    Negative; the standard deduction optin is available ONLY to F-1 and J-1 visaholders from India.

    You can only claim itemized deductions.
