Waters not hot water pressure isn't either
My mothers house doent have very good water pressure, but its even worse in the shower, also the showers never go hotter then luke warm and I know at my old apt. I could get the water scadling if I wanted. So with out paying a plumber, is there anything I could try doing to get my water pressure and water temp up?

Here is a picture of a single handle shower valve. There are also valves with 2 or 3 handles...

OK... does not really sound like this is something you can do... but if you dare to try...

Some single handle shower valves have temperature limiting screws or adjustments under the cover plate. You could remove the cover plate and see if one type or another is present and see if can adjust to hotter temperature.

Also, most shower heads today have flow reducing washers installed inside the shower head where it connects onto the shower arm.. could maybe go in and remove this washer. Should increase volume of water to shower.

This is a bit involved... maybe you and Mom can try this together... let us know what you decide... good luck... Mark

OK.. there is a temperature limit screw under the cover of that valve... if you unscrew this screw 180-360 degrees... may just increase temp. for you.

    Hey hey!

Did you remove a screw or an allen screw from the handle before attampting to remove the handle..

Look at underside of handle... should be a hole... should be an allen screw(see pic.) in there that can be removed using an allen wrench (see pic.) of correct size.

If you did remove screw of any kind and handle not coming off then you would need to purchase a handle puller tool (see pic.) and set the tool and PULL the handle off.

Let me know what you think.
