    My hair is too dark
I had my hair colored at a salon. It is darker than I wanted I also have a few highlites. I want the dark part to be a little lighter. Is there a shampoo that I vcan use to strip some of the dark out. I really don't like it and want results like now not later.

Clarifying shampoo, and some dandruff shampoos help to remove the excess pigment that stained your hair dark, try shampooing a couple of times with one of the shampoos mentioned above.

Hot oil treatments They do help strip or fade out unwanted color. Leave it on your hair for about twenty five minutes then rinse out very good with cool water. Also Any shampoo that has sulfates or silicone.

Or Tide powered laundry detergent- I know this sounds crazy, Take a little bit of the tide and mix it with water. Then add a drop of any type of shampoo you may have in your home at the time, leave on 5-10 min, or Dawn dish detergent mix it with water in a bowl or applicator bottle and leave on for 15min then rinse with cool water...

I know sounds extreme, but for the next time when you go to a salon and you are not satisified with the resulting color let the beautician know so that they can do the proper corrective treatment. And just a note I have never used the dawn dish detergent or tide.. but have heard some people whom have used it

the following information is at the readers discretion to try it or not.

I gave advice to your other version of this question on your first post, but I didn't understand from that posting that you had your color done in a salon. If the salon is on the up-and-up and the stylist gave you results that are different from what you asked for, then they should be willing to redo your color free of charge (as long more than a few weeks has not elapsed) and give you what you want. That is how I run my business, anyway. Call them back and complain.
