    Average speed in meters per second
    If it takes one minute for an elevator to climb 20 floors and each floor is 3 meters high, what is the average speed of the lift in meters per second?
    I used the distance formula and got 1. Is this correct to average speed per second?

    Yes

    3 x 20 = 60 meters in a minute

    60 seconds in a minute
