    Toilet Won't Fill
I put tile floor in our bathroom. It looks great. However with the backer board and the tiles I had to shut the water supply off and raise the height of the shutoff valve. Which went without any problems. I replaced the toiled without incident and connected the flexible hose to the toilet.

After two weeks of perfect use, I shut the main water supply off again, to do the other bathroom, and then the finished toiled started to act up. I found that the water was not filling back up the toilet. So, thinking there might be something in the fill valve, I replaced it, with the same problem. Then I replaced the new hose, with the same problem. I replaced the hose because I disconnected the hose and turned the water on and no water came out. After I disconnected the hose and turned the water on the valve water came out all over the place.

So I replaced the hose once again and things seemed okay for a couple of hours, only to have my eight year old scream out that the toilet wasn't flushing again.

I don't know what to do at this point, I believe that there is some sort of water pressure issue, but I am looking for some help and guidance to where to look...

First off, what type ballcock do you have?(see image) By the term "hose" do you mean the tank supply from the angle stop to the tank? If so it sounds like you have disturbed some minerals built up in your pipe walls and it's blocking the ballcock. Let me know what you have and I'll walk you through the repair. Regards, Tom

Whirlpool washing machine won't fill [ 1 Answers ]

When starting the washing cycle, the water enters but it keeps getting pumped out and I can hear what sounds like the pump. The stand pipe is above the machine so I don't think that's the problem. Thanks
