    Criminal probation
OK here's the situation. I have a beautyful 3 1/2 year old. So I have to deal with her mother. I want her to be the best mother she can be. Ok so her mother a perscription drug addict. Last year she got convicted of felony fraud to obtain a controlled substance 3 times in 3 counties. So amazingly enough she only was sentanced to 3 two year probabtions concurrent I believe and 10 days in jail. Lucky! I was hoping this might straighten her out. So she goes to Dr.'s and tries to convince them to give her what she wants. I use to be oxycotin. That's what she got the felonies for. So now she gets this new one that sounds like siboxin or something. It's new and very powerful and is already sold on the steet. I'm thinking that she fails her Urine tests for barbituates the drug she's addicted to because she got another docter to perscribe her a new kind. So she's on probation, doesn't have a job, is as much of a drug addict as she was before probation, Not to mention she left the state 2 weeks ago to visit her parents (she say's) and is leaving the state in a couple of days for a week to visit some guy. When I was on probation 10 years ago I had to keep my job, be drug free, not break any laws, and don't think mine P.O. would have let me leave the state like that.

So I think I'm going to call her P.O. and have a talk with them. So I would appreciate and feedback on what I might want to say. Or better yet I'm wondering who probation officers have to answer if their not doing their jobs up to standard.

    Thanks

    Hello R:

If you want to help her, get her into rehab. Sending her to jail ISN'T going to help. Help doesn't happen there. Besides, your beautiful 3 1/2 year old will hate you when she finds out you put her mother in jail.

Just call the PO officer and tell him what you just said above. If they have enough on her they will violate her. If she flunks a drug test (which I sure hope they do on her monthly) they will violate her. I don't think rehab helps anyone who wants to keep doing drugs. They do drugs until they don't want to do drugs. Jail is a good place to start as you have to stay there and rehab you can walk away from. Just my opinion. If her habit is that out of control I am surprised that the PO has not been able to see this for him/herself. As a concerned dad who wants the best for his daughter you just might end up with full custody of her in the end as this woman is not about to change in a big hurry. In the drug world children are not a priority and are often very neglected and mostly considered an afterthought. I'd hate to see your daughter home alone while her mama is out trying to get more drugs and something happens to her. By all means call up and speak to the PO and if you don't like what they have to say ask to speak to a supervisor. Better yet, if you can call and make an appointment and go visit the office in person, do that as then you will be taken much more seriously. Also if you go before she leaves the state they can easily check up on her to see she is not home and then instant violation and arrest when she comes back. Or if you can somehow prove she was out of the state, instant violation. She can't keep going on like this as oxy is heroine and what would happen to your little girl if she took some of these "candies" thinking that they were candy and not instant death for a child. Doesn't take much to kill a young child like that. Do you really want to just ignore this situation or really help your daughter? Think about that.

Also if she is getting new scripts from doctors just how is she paying for the dr visits? Something does not sound right unless she is selling the pills on the blackmarket. If you know the name of the doctor give that to the PO as well as this needs to be looked into by the PO to see just WHY she is getting such strong narcotics. The dr just may get in deep doo doo himself for writing scripts for her and probably a lot of other people who have no legitimate reason for the narcotics other than to sell them or get high.
