Low pressure with my new heating system
Hello, I have recently had a whole new heating system with new radiators etc.. I have a worcester bosch combi boiler fitted but I have very very low hot water pressure. Our supply pressure is not great but far more than that of the hot water.

My sister has the same boiler fitted in an area with very high pressure but she gets water from her shower which is equal to that of a power shower and it is VERY hot water. Where as it takes me a good half hour to fill a bath tub, and even then the water is not all that warm!

Does any one know what the problem might be because its certainly not right! I paid £1000+ for this system and expect more than a tricke of luke warm water.

    Thanks :)

This question really belongs back with you and the plumber that did all the work on the combi. Unit... unless you did yourself..

Basically, all I can offer is to look for any shutoffs that have not been completely opened near the combi. Unit.

Otherwise, may have clog inline, maybe a strainer is installed at inlet/outlet to unit.

Anyway, would really just be guessing. I would contact plumber, have him cut lines near combi. Unit and check volume/flow.

Sorry can't offer more. Maybe others here will have ideas... never know. But in long run if you really want to fix this, call the previous installer in and have him evaluate for you (or another plumber).

    Good luck... Mark

Water central heating system loses pressure [ 5 Answers ]

The central heating system in my 50 year old home seems to be losing water pressure. We thought it might be due to some pipes that were running in a concrete slab and had leaked. We bypassed that, but now the pressure is still not holding. We see no leaks anywhere. Any ideas?
