    Filing taxes
    I haven't filed taxes for over 2 years and I don't know any figures. I do have a W2 this year can I file for this year and how?

    First, to verify whether you are required to file taxes, see the Introduction of Pub 501:
    http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p501.pdf

    For now don't worry about the fact that you haven't filed in the past 2 years - the most important thing is to make sure that you file for 2007 if you are reqiured to do so. If you are required to file for 2007, you can find lots of helpful information on the IRS web site:

    You may be able to e-file for free - see: IRS e-file: Filing your taxes online was never easier!

    First assemble all your records for 2007 - your W2 plus any other statements you may have received from banks, brokerages, your mortgage company (if you own your home), charitable contributions you may have made, etc. and then try the e-file system.
