    Would like to know the value of 1928A Silver Certificate
    I have a 1928A Series Silver Certificate. I am interested in learning its value. It is in very good condition. Serial number is W32431349A Signed by N.O. Nooss as Treasurer, and AW Mellon as Secretary of Treasury. It has the letter K followed by the numbers 1354 toward the bottom right corner. The reverse side has the "funny" back...

    If anyone has any information on this... I would appreciate it...

    Although I have no idea of it's value an old silver certificate like this is hard to find. I would suggst contacting a numistamist society and see if they can help you on the value.

    By "very good condition" what do you mean, please? I do know that we have a person on this site, namely, Flying Blue Eagle, who does have books on the values of such things as this. I am sure that he will be along to address your question. But, your definition of "very good condition" does need to have some clarification as to what you mean by that. Thank you!

    Tracimay - I hope That I have the answers that you want. You have a silver certificate dated ( 1928 A SERIES } { Signatures should be - Woods - Mellon} { Should have a BLUE SEal} ) ( The letter K on the bottom with the numbers -1354 is the plate numberthat it was printed withon the face) .
    1928A - Plate number 1601.- VG-20- $25.00 ;; UNC - 63 -$55.00
    1928A- Plate number 1601*.- VG-20 - $40.00 ;; UNC>-63 - $375.00

    The reason the back looks funny , the design on the back should look as I'm going to try to describe. :: On each end of the bill there should be ( 2 - small number " 1" and ( one big " 1 ' and pretty well centered in the middle there should be ( "ONE 'written very large and printed over it should be ( " one Dollar "

    Now let me explain the grades - VG-20 :: VG MEANS - VERY GOOD CONDITION, Grade 20.::: UNC> - MEANS UNCIRCUATED . Grade 63 . ::
    VG-20 A note that has been in circulation ,but not very long ,It still retains some of it's crispness, It may show some folds or creases or some light smudges from the hands of past generations . Sometimes " VERY FINE NOTES " are the best available in certain RARE Issues :::
    UNC>-63 A note that is A bill that is UNCIRCULATED AND IS fresher and brighter then the norm for it's particular issue. Almost as nice as GEM- UNCIRCULATED, but not quite there, Must be reasonably well centered.;;;
    If I can help you more let me know. If I have answered your question well , Please rate it at bottom of post. Good Luck & GOD BLESS :: F.B.E.
