I am 18 in 2 months, and for the past couple of years I have wanted to track down my real father. I am currently adopted by my step dad, but there is still that something inside me that wants to find out more about my past. My mum doesn't let on that easy about info about my dad, just says he went in the army, and gave me his first and second name. Is there any other info that I will need? And how will I go about finding him?

Well if it is some non common name a easy name search on one of the dozen people search can help, if you know a age then a zaba search can often help narrow it down

Now if his name is John Smith, OK, not really possible since you get 1000's of people by the same name.

Does he have brothers, what area was he from, what about his parents name, you will have to talk to your mom or perhaps some aunt or uncle about him
