Tenant rights with regard to mold
    Maryland
Does anyone have any advice on what to do if mold is detected in a rental property? Nothing is mentioned on the lease agreement pertaining to mold. Rented a property at the beach and have started having symptons relating to what I think is mold (black mold). This place is very run down and cheap and I feel the landlord and perhaps owner don't really care about what happens. I am afraid if I bring this to anyone's attention and mold is found the place may be condemned and I will lose my rental with little chance of finding another, thanks.

You do run that risk if you try and go through anybody that can make him do anything about it but illnesses from black mold are worse than losing the place.

The amount and level of mold is always the issue, it is often possible to merely clean it out properly, and seal that area. But unless you do a air quality test you will not know if it was enough

I, the master tenant, recently took on a roommate. I paid $1675.00 (79%), and he paid $450.00 (21%) of the total rent. He lived in my apt for 10 days and moved on the 11th. He was a nuissance as he slept all day and tackled chores, i.e. laundry in the early hours 12:40 AM. So, due to our different...
