Hi Nikkiecute
In the link I gave you the person who wrote it also wrote with each picture link if the product
Has HQ or not.The one you bought I don't know if it contains HQ.But its not the branded DS.
Its strange,I'm using the papaya soap and whitening cream since last Saturday and my sky doesn't peel nor its dry.It seems its more oily to me!lol.Do you think its not good for oily skin?because my dermatologue told me once that if I use strong products my skin will react by becoming more oily to proctect itself...
Do you think it can be that its not working on my skin?because it must peel?
Others users of Ds can you tell me if the skin has to peel and get dry to know if its working?
You said you used Reviva lab before. Can you tel me the percentage of HQ please?andfor how long time did you use it?and also after you stopped it did your skin become less lighter than when you used it?
Sorry I know it's a DS thread.but I'm very curious about the cream you mentioned Nikkie.
Thanks

No, your skin doesn't have to peel in order for DS to work. My skin never peeled and DS still lightened me about a shade. By the way, what color is the whitening cream suppose to be?

The cream is called Reviva Labs Brown Spot Night Cream
And I have been using this cream on and off for years.
It's only contains 2%hq, but it does not contain
Mineral oil. I think hq creams that are already on
Store shelves would work just as good if they did
Not contain mineral oil.
Without the mineral oil the 2%hq can penetrate
The skin more deeply. I usually buy it along with
The Revia Labs Day Lightening Cream with spf 15
And there Light Skin Peel.
There is this picture of me hanging up on my
Mom's wall and if I happen to bring a friend with
Me when I go and visit her, every time and I mean
Every time they see that picture they look at me,
They look back at the picture and say
"wow you look different" or "how old are you in
that picture?".
That picture of me was when I was using the
Reviva cream. I was looking really light/high
Yellow in that picture. That's how good the cream
Worked.
The cream is not permanent so if you do stop using
It you can go back to your original. I'm just really starting
To take this wearing sunscreen seriously.
The thing with me is when I get light I stop using a cream
And then when I start to go back to my color
I started with I start to use it again.
I need to be more consistent with my skin lightening routine.
Last summer I did not put any sunscreen on at all.
Ok back to DS I don't think your skin has to peel
In order for the product to work. Maybe because
Your skin is very oily it won't peel. It's only been
A week let's wait and see.

Ok I am lightening with this product but it is making me a bit patchy.
It's like it's lightening me up by breaking up the
Darker skin instead of overall lightening.
Look at the directions for this product.
(scroll down)
See the part where is says:
We do not recommend that you put the cream directly from the jar to your skin as this will result in patches of skin getting more treatment, thus resulting in patchy result.
Well dang! Why didn't anybody tell me that! Lol
I always apply cream directly from the jar to my
Face, never did it any other way.
Never had a problem with patchy lightening before.
Maybe it's the soap:confused: Aww it's not so bad.
Just used to over all lightening, I'll keep going and
See where this cream takes me. For a tiny jar I still
Have enough left for another two weeks or so.

Hi Guys I found this product. It is very potent because it has about 4-5 lightening agents.
If you look up the ingredients in Google it seems they are all natural lightners and antioxidants.
Peter Thomas Roth Potent Botanical Skin Brightening Gel Complex at DermStore
Ingredients: Purified Water, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Azelaic Acid, Kojic Acid, Bearberry Extract, Mulberry Extract, Ascorbic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Disodium EDTA, SD-Alcohol, Sodium Bisulfite, Sodium Sulfite, Glycerin, Methylparaben, BHT, Diazolidinyl Urea.
Has anyone tried it? I think I am going to try it because DS lightened me one shade and it has been 2.5 months now

Your right, you don't get it.
I am not complaining about that product.
I'm not complaining at all.
Please re-read my post.
When I post about
"I am lightening up with this product"
I am talking about the DS cream and soap.
I was lightening up a little patchy.
But when I came across the product in the link and read the
Directions I thought I would share them with the
Other members.
Anyway I am without a doubt lightening up with
The DS cream and soap (unlabeled) and it is turning out pretty even now.
My forehead is trying to fight it but I will just apply
More of the cream.
My forehead always seem to be so stubborn with
Lightening.
So far so good. Told you guys and gals the lightening would
Really kick in once I get past the first two weeks.
How's everybody else getting along?

Well something about D.S. is working!
A co-worker of mine gave me a compliment today.:)
He said "You must have good skin cause your skin is looking
real smooth and it doesn't look dry"
(I do have that dewy look going on right now)
He continued to say "You must soak your skin in Oil of Olay all day". LOL! I thought that was funny!
It's nice to know some change is taking place in my skin if someone else notices.
Last time a co-worker made a comment about my skin is when
I was using Fair and Flawless.
So far so good...
How's everyone else getting along?

Hi everybody
Im using DS papaya/kojic soap and whitening cream since two weeks and 3 days.
I didn't notice lightening on my face.Im using the cream only on my right leg so I can compare with the left leg.But I found that my acne scars are really less visible. And I didn't break out at all tahts a very good thing cause I have very oily skin.
Before that I used hydroquinone for four months maybe that's why when I stopped it and started DS its working slowly and I don't notice any change except on acne scars.
And also like you Nikkie its making me patchy, not too much but the part around my mouth and the chin are more darker than my cheeks.Strange.
And some days my skin looks more darker than other days!Maybe its just in my mind because I think too much about that.I don't want to be like I was after the summer last year.
When I get tan it doesn't look healthy and glowing like others but dirty like brown color mix with grey!lol
Also DS dries the skin so I think its necessary to apply a good moisturizer after it.
I ordered Neutrogena sunblock but still waiting so I bought La roche posay Anthelios fluid 50 spf.I put it today on my face but I hate it;whenever I put sunscreen its eems my skin looks grey!
Nikkie can you tell me which skin color is your and how long has it been you are using DS?
Also is your sunscreen greasy?do you re apply it in the day?
Do you think I use too much cream?cause I use one jar for one week just for the face and neck.
Anyway its great this product is working you.
Keep us informed about it
And who else noticed lightening?
Thanks

That's how it was for me too.
My cheekbones lightened up first then the rest of
My skin caught up.
I have been using the D.S. soap/cream 4 weeks
Now. I'm still on my first jar.
How did you go through one jar in a week?
Yes, I think you are using a lot of cream!
I think mine will last me the rest of this month, but
I'm only using it on my face.
No my sunscreen is not greasy, it makes my skin
Feel really soft. I like it a lot.

Wow! You're using TOO much of the cream! I bought a tiny jar and shared it with my sister (for the face, knees & elbows) and it lasted for about 2 weeks! And even that, I still think I was using too much. I first use DS products late Dec last year. I only need a jar of cream & a black licorice soap for the face. Now, I'm on maintenance using only the black soap (I'm still on the 1st bar) & my skin hasn't redarken. It's been 4 months! Well, except that I went to the beach 2 weeks ago and I tanned horribly! And the black soap lighten my skin back and it only took a week!

Hi Nikkie and SugarBlush
Thanks for replies
So it seems I just need to take a very little bit of cream.also I let the soap on my face for five/8minutes.Is it too much?
I think I will wait some more weeks to see if it lightens.
Do you think I can use hydroquinone cream twice a week+DS?
And for sunscreen,do you apply it more than once a day?
Thanks

I'm using Reviva Labs Sun Protective Moisturizer
SPF 25.
The soap and the cream made my face so tight and
Dry I didn't want to use the Dry Touch sunscreen
Cause I thought it would make my face even more
Dry.
I'll buy Neutrogena now that my face is back to
Normal and after I'm done with my jar of sunscreen.

I also let the soap stay on my face for at least 5
Minutes.
Maybe you should give the HQ a rest and just use
Sunscreen for a while after you lighten.

Maybe that's why your skin getting dry and tight it's starting to exfoliate - that's causing those patches. You need to use a skin toner or facial lotion (this is like a toner type that moisturize your skin). Always use a sunscreen- if skin is oily use a sunscreen gel.
