    Business Bonding
I have a window treatment business that I am confused about with having the need to be licensed and bonded. I have business insurance. I work out of the home, no store front and my installers are independent contractors, however; I keep hearing the neccessity of needing an ROC license and bonding. What kind of bonding would be needed for this kind of business?

Here in Ontario that would mean a background police cheque ($25 - $30 at local police station) so that employers know you have no prior convictions and basically ensures that the employees are trustworthy and can go in homes where residents know that the person is reliable.

There are various bonds, has any of your customers required you to have it ? If they do, you can require your independent contractors to provide it.
Also remember your business insurance will not normally cover a independent contractor, so they will need to provide you copies ofthier liablity insurance if they do damage in the persons home and you are sued.

I am going to replace a 60amp meter base with a 100amp meter base with an outside disconnect. The main service breaker box is already a 100 amp. The question is, if I ground the outside disconnect and run 4 wire to the main pannel should the main pannel stay bonded like it is now?
