    Pain when I cough?
Im 15.5 weeks pregnant and I have gotten a cold. The problem is I am getting really bad pains whenever I cough or sneeze in my lower abdomin! Is this something to be worried about?

Your stomach muscles are already under stress from pregnancy; in most probability the pain you feel when you cough is extra stress and your stomach muscles are complaining. If it concerns you because you are pregnant a trip to the doctor to explain this symptom would be a good idea, but I do believe your stomach muscles are sore from the extra burden.

Get plenty of rest and get rid of that cold. Everything you need to feel good is being channeled to the new baby and you need extra care for yourself. Drink plenty of liquids and make sure you eat well to keep up your strength for you and the coming event. Good luck with your pregnancy!

Would you like to write to my boss saying I need the rest! LOL!

I am trying to get rid of it obviously without any medication and the only thing I am taking is lemon, honey and hot water. I go to bed early and wake up feeling like I haven't had a wink of sleep! This pregnancy thing is tough! :) But I love it!

I am an athlete and had a toned stomach before I got pregnant so I was worried it had anything to do with that.

    Thanks a million...

When pregnant you should always, always take the rest you need and when you are doing double duty like working during pregnancy you need to protect yourself from fatigue for you and your baby to have a save and happy comfortable delivery.

As an aside, good stomach muscles will only benefit you at delivery time. :)
