    Crude Oil
    I was ask this question by my son and I had no idea maybe someone knows. I never really thought about it, I only pay for it.
    O How many gallons make up a barrel of crude oil?
    O How many gallons of gas can a barrel of crude oil make?
    Thanks to anyone that can help me.

    I personally don't know

    But here is what I found on the web

    A barrel contains 42 gallons. After refining, it makes about 19.5 gallons
    Of gasoline in addition to numerous other products such as heating oil..

    Igottagonow - Plus what is left after making gas you also have " kerosine" , DIEASEL, And it is cheaper by about .15 cents per gallon to make the PLUS GRADE
    ( HAVE YOPU ALL SEEN WHAT THE PROFIT WAS FOR THE OIL CO>S FOR THE LAST QUARTER WAS ( EXXON HAD THE MOST FOLLPWQED BY TEXICO AND ON DOWN THE LINE < THESE TWO WERE IN THE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS -( PROFIT)

    What was their percentage of profit on the dollar of investment and cost?
    I understand that they make less percent of profit than most other businesses ?

    Should there be a max percentage profit a busiess can make ?
