Spent another super weekend with grandson, I fell asleep on the couch and he gave me a kiss. He understands every word I say, but still does not talk much - typical man, huh?

Hope all of you had a good weekend too.

Making it short, got a bit of pain to deal with and sleep helps.

    TTFN.

Just in case I oversleep and miss tomorrow!
Feel better Chery, hugs sweet heart!

Lot's a rest and your fluffy kitty!

Here are a few recipies I found. The dumplings and cakes are delicious!

Hope you can try and like them as much as I do.

You don't know what potato dumplings are like until you try them with home-made gravy, or slice and fry them with onions and bacon after a night in the fridge... yummy!

    Cowboy Boots

(Anyone who has ever dressed a child will love this one!)

Did you hear about the Texas teacher who was
Helping one of her kindergarten students put
    On his cowboy boots?

He asked for help and she could see why.

Even with her pulling and him pushing, the little
Boots still didn't want to go on. By the time they
Got the second boot on, she had worked up a sweat.

She almost cried when the little boy said,
'Teacher, they're on the wrong feet.'
She looked, and sure enough, they were.

It wasn't any easier pulling the boots off than
It was putting them on. She managed to keep
Her cool as together they worked to get the
Boots back on, this time on the right feet.

He then announced, '... These aren't my boots.'

She bit her tongue rather than get right in his face
And scream, 'Why didn't you say so?', like she
Want ed to. Once again, she struggled to help him
Pull the ill-fitting boots off his little feet. No sooner
Had they gotten the boots off when he said,

'They're my brother's boots. My Mom made me wear 'em.'

Now she didn't know if she should laugh or cry.
But, she mustered up what grace and courage
She had left to wrestle the boots on his feet again.

Helping him into his coat, she asked,
'... Now, where are your mittens?'

He said, 'I stuffed 'em in the toes of my boots.'

She will be eligible for parole in three years

Ham cheese broccoli quiche is what I'm making tonight.
    It's baking as I type!

    2 pie crusts (thaw out)
    3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 lb ham cut in small cubes
    1 package frozen broccoli
    1 can cheddar cheese soup
    1 8oz cup sour cream
    6 eggs
    Milk (about 1/2 a cup) maybe 3/4 c, I just poor a little in at a time.

    Preheat oven 400 F

Layer chopped broccoli, ham, and cheese in pie crust.

Beat together eggs, soup, sour cream
    Then add a little milk
Continue to beat and add milk until mix is smooth
Then poor in pie crusts on top of filling

    Sprinkle some cheese on top

Bake 30 to 45 minutes - keep checking it though, mines not done cooking though so I'm not positive about the time:)

Edit - OK, it's safe to say that it is not 30 minutes LOL

It cooked for about 45 to 50 minutes and it would be better for a breakfast.
Kind of tasted like an omelet LOL

I had my own strawberries once, but the squirrels would eat them or carry them off to their nests.
We ended up keeping them going just for the squirrels but those pesky little buggers ended up killing all the plants (or either I did and just don't know it LOL)

I've thought about planting other stuff before but haven't as of yet.

OH! I've done watermelons!! Very easy!! And fun!! Kids love it!!

    LOL! Cute Story start!!

Hi rp! Hope I run into you some time soon!
I love spinach quiche!! And calzones!!
I'd love to have your recipe.

Start, you whip the stuff together lol
I said beat - which kind of sounds like I'm referring to using a mixer,
My cooking terminology could use some work.
