You're right... it's not much of an age difference... however, the law is the law...

I'm not sure if anyone remembers the Wilson case... he was 17, she was 15, and they had consensual oral sex, and he went to jail + became a sex offender.

Look up the age of consent in your area. I'm not ENTIRELY sure on the legal ramifications, but why not wait until you're both 18?

The age of consent for most states is either 16 or 17... some states may differ.

In canada well, it is less then that. Hmmm. 17 and 18 though is a lot different then 15 and 17. Come on now.

I also feel the need to share that what is the rush to have sex. It is better to wait and make it special then rushing in to it and regretting it.

... sometimes people spell it the way you do.. I find that there's something wrong with that excuse... but, to each his/her own.

    For Colorado:

The unfettered age of consent in Colorado is 17, however there exist in the legislation close in age exceptions which allow those at least 15 and less than 17 to engage in acts with those less than ten years older and those less than 15 to engage in acts with those less than four years older.

    ... why... is that impossible?

That sort of impatience and rush to have sex (along with the childish attitude) shows immaturity... which tells me... it's probably best to wait... until you've grown up a bit.

I agree with Sneeze. Sex isw not a life and death matter. You don't need sex to get through the day. To take the attitude that its impossible to have to wait a few months to have sex actually shows you are not ready.

How long have you been in the relationship?

    For Colorado:

They have separate laws or additions of their regular law to cover same sex sex. The age of consent for all sex there is 17. But remember also, if you are going against parents instructions, and you are with a "adult" 18 or over, there are a few other laws a parent can try and use, depends on the police and DA in that area. If the adult is told by the parents of the 17 year old, not to take them anywhere, not to be around them, and the adult ( 18 year old still does) there is an issue of interfering with custody if the state laws are written to cover this. So remember there are often several ways to get to a place if you look for different roads.
