Well hey, I got a private message lastnite from some kid about a relationship question. I accidentally deleted it when going through my p/m's, so I wrote her and told her I was sorry. She wrote me back and told me that it was a snub because I didn't ask her what she had asked me. Oh well, what do you do? Lol I didn't respond... that's what I did! Lol

That's nothing. Some girl pmed me and alty about her problem... alty responded, I told her that I'd read it when I had time (it was a novel)... and I told her I'd get back to her that night.

    ... never did.

Due to the restricted nature of the international rice market (less than 6% of global production) and to the residual character of exchanges (producing countries produce first and foremost for their own consumption), international prices are extremely volatile.

International market is not influenced by referential prices, or by "Chicago Board of Trade" (CBOT) futures quotations - which have no liquidity. There are few regular publications that indicate current price levels.

It is still possible to have an idea of the long-term evolution of rice prices by observing the market of Thai White Rice, 5% Broken. In fact, this type of rice was chosen as a reference for a futures market in Bangkok which is scheduled to open at the end of 2003.

It should be noted that there is a weak correlation between the high-quality low-quality rice markets. They often move in the same direction (e.g. both of them fell in 2000), however low-quality rice prices tend to fall more. The intensity of price fluctuations depends on specific demands for each type of rice.

In many countries, the only available prices are domestic ones which indicate the prices that buyers are willing to pay growers.

In the case of export prices, the correlation between the different origins is relatively high for those countries that do not interfere or regulate prices

It's a pretty popular question... I'm not sure why.

Anyway, I found the above response on a Yahoo answers site... so I take no credit for it. I didn't even read it.

You're kidding me right? I'm on a waiting list for a hip replacement... how ironic is that? I injured my hip yrs ago, and started having probs with it just a couple yrs back. Some good days, and some not so good days. Been on pain meds, as well as other herbals and vitamins that keeps it from being too painful most days. I'm terrified of the surgery though.

Don't worry too much about the surgery... medicine's come a long way.

I've sat in on more hip replacements than I can remember... and 99% of the time, it went smoothly with no complications.

If you want to wait around (... 5 - 6 years), then I can help you out ;)

Haha... don't think it will hold up quite that long. It ticks me off because you usually hear about people in their 70's or 80's needing that kind of surgery. Any tips for holding out till surgery? New meds or vitamins that would be helpful? Already doing the glucosamine/condroiton, calcium... all the no brainer stuff. Arthritis is a prob now too!

Just a minute... think I'll have another shot first, lol

There you go. The best medicine.

Have you tried some physical therapy? People usually kick it off to homeopathic medicine, but I've seen hot water (jacuzzi) therapy work on a lot of patients with joint pain and muscle pain.
