    Kenore dryer signal
I have a Kenmore electric dryer series 70. The dryer stops when it is supposed to but the signal continues to sound till the door is opened. Everything else seems normal. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You have a bad drive motor switch. The contact of the centrifugal switch that stops the buzzer is welded; this contact has nothing to do with anything but the buzzer. If you can find a used motor (very common motor), you could rob the switch to replace yours. If you've got the gumption, sometimes (if you're mechanically inclined and careful) you might be able to remove the switch from the motor, disassemble it, and clean the contacts. Or maybe just disconnect the buzzer to shut it up. If you need help, let me know.

No Signal [ 3 Answers ]

Just built a new system. Pretty sure most of the specs are irrelevant except that you should know it's onboard video. So far the best I can come up with is that it's a faulty motherboard. Basically what happens is... nothing. I hook everything up, power up the computer and... nothing. Nothing...
