I'm truant in school and I don't turn work in until the last minute. The counselor said that I can't graduate because I never go to school and do work. Therefore, they won't accept and grade the work to give me credit. Long story short, I can't graduate. Is there any laws that can counter this situation?

No, the teachers and administration set forth the guidelines for graduation, and that your grade will suffer if the work is late or if you are exceeding the limit for absences. Basically, you follow their rules, and that's the way it is.

You betcha they can stop you from graduating. If you did not fulfill the requirements, you don't graduate.

There are rules for a reason and there are consequences to our actions.

Sorry dude, but if you don't show up to class and you don't do the work, you didn't earn the diploma.

If you don't turn up to do the work what do you expect? They arnt going to pass you with flying colours uno when you can't be botherd going or doing your work get over it get back to school and get your work done,I'm sorry but its your own fault you'll probably have to resit your last year again

I wish somebody had give me akick up the so I would have got myhead down and finished school instead I was taking drugs,having sex,metting people off the cb[i could have been murdered or anything] now I've 2kids I love them to bits but I wish I had the qualifacations to get agood job and you won't if you don't finish your last year

Doesn't matter, there are rules set up. You must follow them. EVERYONE must follow them.

But I head from doctors that these disorders can actually give me an excuse as long as I do all the work before graduation...

You needed the doctor's "excuse" a long time ago. You can't just bring up the "excuse" now. Too little too late.

Having those does not stop you from going and getting to school.
Poor parents not taking you perhaps unless they both work and trust you to go to school.

But you have to attend so many days by state law to get credit for the year, so figure summer school or repeating another year.

Excuses are for losers, no offense, but it's true. There are plenty of things that you can get away with by saying you have ADD or ADHD, but it's all a copout, and they don't just hand out diplomas to people who don't follow the rules and do what they're expected to just because they say they have ADD or whatever, it's just another excuse. Also, having ADD doesn't make you so disabled that you can't go to school and not be truant, and it also doesn't affect your ability to know when things are expected to be turned in, the only thing keeping you from following their rules is your decision not to cooperate and do what is expected of you and EVERYONE ELSE. No one else gets a free ride, why should you? I say suck it up and redo the last year, go to school all the time and do your work in time, and no one will hassle you.

Excuses and truancy - what a super combination for instant failure. No, having AHHD or ADD means nothing to the schools nowadays and should not be used as an "excuse". There are many fine kids with these alphabet problems that do wonderfully well in school and attend school on a regular basis. They try harder to excel. It sounds like you have a bad case of "doing something you are not supposed to be doing" to have this copout attitude. Get with the program and do what is required of you.

Just how are you planning on holding down a full time job - calling in sick when you are not in the mood to go to work or have something better to do? Not. Won't work in the real world - sorry.

As you go through life you will find out that it is much easier to "get with the program" rather than waste energy trying to circumvent it. Do your home work, get to classes, Simple.
