    Judgment on Bank Accounts
My husband and I have just found out that our bank accounts have a judgment on them. We knew of the debt and have been working with the attorney to settle. We were court ordered to fill out paperwork and did so, furnishing our account information debts, what we could afford etc. Did so. We haven't heard anything. Until we went to use our debit card. How do we get it vacated or dismissed? Two, it only affected our New York accounts and not our Texas account, any body tell me why? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

If you received no notice of a court hearing, then you can submit a motion ot vacate the judgement on the grounds of improper service. If granted you can take the vacate order to your bank to release the accounts. The Texas account was left alone because the creditor didn't submit a writ of attachment, you would have to ask them why.
