    I thought this was a site where you could describe a book and get the name of it?
    ... well the book was about a mother abandoning her kids. The mother drives her 3 or 4 kids in the car with her to a grocery store, tells them she's going to get some food, then never returns back to the car. So the kids we're then left in the car for hours and end up having to find where and what happened to their mom. It's an old book, but I know there's also a movie out just like the novel as well. If anyone knows the name of the book, please please let me know.

    If not, it looks like a good book to read anyway.

    It doesn't seem to be exactly like you described though, so I'll look some more.

    The book title about the outbreak of WW3 on board of a US navy war ship located above USSR. The ship travels through the med. Sea and finally to the south pole looking for a safe harbor.
