    Removal of fiberglass showerpan
I recently removed a 36" x 36" fiberglass shower pan. I had to use a saw to cut around the drain in order to lift it out. The house is on a concrete slab, so the drain tube is buried in cement. I am going to tile the floor eventually. Any suggestions of what to do knowing I am going to create a tile floor?

SRL... you need some kind of pan installed... whether it be copper pan (not so common today) or a vinyl/blueseal pan... you will need to install correct liner (pan) and correct drain for custom shower

When you took out the old shwer pan what kind of drain did you find coming out of the concrete? I think the easiest thing to do is to stick with a fiberglass pan like a Swanstone, Mustee or Lasco. They should match right up with the existing drain. You can't just put tile down on a cement floor and call it a shower.
