    Weight gain because of predisone
    Hi, I was prescribed prednisone by my doctor and I have about 2 more weeks of the pills to take.
    I have gained about 6 lbs so far and I would like to know any tips or ideas on how to lose the extra weight...
    I am about 5'5 and I would go from 116-118lbs before the prednisone now I weigh about 123lbs. Which isn't overweight for me but I definitely SEE the extra pounds and want to get back to the way I was before.
    I've already cut a lot of sodium out of my diet and I exercise about 3 times a week (I have a limited exercise regime because of a medical condition).

    Any advice?

    Prednisone will cause weight gain. You will have to wait until you are not taking this before even thinking of losing weight. This weight will be hard to lose but you will be able to lose it in a month or so. Just be patient.
