Cocaine use - if employer checks 2 1/2 months back
Will cocaine show up in my hair follicle if the company goes back 2 1/2 months and they test it on April 3, 2008 and it was used on January 11, 2008? Also since they test the first 1 1/2 from the scalp and my hair grew 2 inches will cocaine in my hair not show? I am not a big user. It was the first time in a year.

If you have used coke it will stay in your system for varied amounts of time and in different organs. Factors to consider are, quality of coke, quanity, how often you use, and what other drugs you use, as well as your tolerance, sex, age, health and metabolism. These all make an accurate elimination time, diffficult. The metabolite is something the body produces, when it ingests something, in coke it's, benzoylecgonine that stays in your bloodstream after the drug is gone, up to 30 days, if you're a frequent user. Coke itself can stay up to 72 hrs, in your urine 1-3 days after 1 use. If you're a cronic user it can be dected up to 12 weeks, depending on use, quality and duration.
