    Wiring a thermostat to a 3 prong plug
    Yes I am curious if it is possible to wire a thermostat. Where power could be supplied from a wall outlet through a 3 prong, and supply power through a seprate 3 prong.

    Thermostats are available for that purpose. They are cheaper than you can make one for. Check on the net for availability and price.

    I don't think so as I already have the two thermostats, wire and plugs, just need the know how now.
    If there is a website someone could direct me to it would be much help.

    Break the hot leg with the thermostat and make sure you ground the case if the thermostat has a metal case.

    Use a line voltage stat.

    But, you can as I did, wired a transformer, a relay or a "Fan Center" in a J-Box. The t-stat is under my workbench. It uses a 3 prong plug and a convienice outlet to control a space heater. The heater control acts as a high limit and also contains the tip switch.

    You did not mention the application.
