    Medical debt consolidation
I hear about companies all the time that will help consolidate your debt if you have credit card debt, but for people like me who have absolutely no credit card debt but a substantial amount of medical debt I haven't heard of any companies that assist in this if anyone know of such a company please list the name & web site or toll free #, it would be greatly appreciated.:(

Give us time. I do not know of any place that does this but I do know that sometimes if you owe the hospital a lot of money they will sometimes settle for less How much do you owe?

It is and can be but its not a chat room. You don't get instant responses here. People don't just hang on line, they check every so often for new posts. So you need to be patient and wait for someone who can answer seeing your post.

Debt consolidation means putting several debts owed to different entities under one umbrella with one payment. Generally all the debts are rolled into one new loan. So there is no reason why ANY debt consolidator can't do that for you with any kind of debt.

But I suspect you are more interested in credit counseling where an agency tries to negotiate lower interest and lower payments on your existing debt. I don't know of any specializing in medical debt, but I don't think they really make a disitinction. So look for any such agency and talk to them.

I owe for this hostpital $7200 which has already gone to collections because I couldn't afford to pay what they wanted when they wanted, have now been paying on the debt since 2005 have only been able to pay $1680 on this and recently found out the\at during this time the balance has accumulated over $700 of interest, I have nothing on my credit history other than medical and I do apologize for sounding ungrateful for any help I may or may not get from this site, as my friend said I was very frantic and am still a little and being single and the only source of income obviously its hard especially with no family that can or will help, but as stated in my original post thanks for any help that you can give me

Is there anyway you can get a loan to cover the balance? If you can get a commitment, you might be able to offer them a lump sum settlement for less than the face amount. If you can get a loan that stretches out your payments (and interest rates are low now), you may be able to get out from under this.

No She Is Just Like Me No Credit What So Ever. So I Don't Think That Will Work For Her. But You Think Any Debt Consolidator Will Do This Regardless If It Is All Medical Or Not?

Just because she has no credit now, doesn't mean she can't get any. Has she tried? Talked to banks? If she has the income she should be able to do it.

I have a job been there for over 2 years and cannot even get the bank to finance me a loan for $1000 much less $7200 I have never had a credit card, I have bought a car before from a dealership before and paid it off on time without being late on 1 single payment, also the company that I am paying I have been paying every month since 2005 and feel like I am not getting anywhere with the balance ever time I check to see how much I owe it seems there is more and more the only places that will give me a loan for $1000 or more are pay day loans and my pay checks are not $1000 and those are spent on bills 2 weeks before I even get them, I have no savings my car is about to break down and I am on the vere of a nervous breakdown, because it seems no matter how hard I try I cannot get ahead and I know I am not the only one but its still frustrating, I am so used to not asking for help that now I really need help and I have no one to help me

I think you need to shop around for loans. I just find it hard to believe that you can't get a loan to pay this debt off.
