    Shower valve
An installing a new shower using a Moen Posi-Temp valve. Since there is no tub, how do I plug the outlet that normally would go to the tub? Do I just sweat in a short piece of pipe with a cap on it, or is there some special doo-dad I'm missing?

    Thanks in advance!

Since you purchased a tub and shower valve instead of a shower valve, that what I would do.

I'm with HKstroud (hi Harold! )

Can sweat male adapter to cap.. or could just install a 1/2" IPS brass plug. Both options work fine!

If sweating male adapter and cap, be sure to presolder these fittings onto pipe before installing to valve. Keep us posted... Mark
