    Dark red to blonde?
    Hey my hair is a dark redy brown and I'm wanting to die my here blonde how would I do it? :)

    I just did this! I would recommend going to a professional salon. They'll strip it, and then dye it the color you want. Bleaching doesn't always get red out.

    If you want to go from dark red back to blonde, you will need to bleach your hair to remove the underlying pigments and then apply a toner to remove the brassy tones. Some people refer to hair bleaching as stripping because it strips and lightens the hair. This type of process should be done only by professionals.

    OK so I went and askd the local hair dresser today and she said she wasn't going to do it for me because she reakns that she cnt so is der anyway I cn do it myself by like dyn it brown and den going ova that with a lighter brown then blonde do you think that will work??

    Thanks, rockerchick. Everyone here says that I know my stuff when it comes to beauty and skin care. Hanna, if you want to successfully go from dark reddish brown to blonde without the brassy tones, you will need to bleach your hair to the level of lightness you want and then deposit a toner to achieve your desired color. To prevent a hair disaster, have a professional do the coloring processes.
