    Changing 51M32 to Hunter 44260
    Hi,

I used HUnter 44260 whole winter to find out my heating bill went high to 368$ and Electric bill to 100$. And found out it was kicking on my cooling system also... Anyways...

My Current Lennox 51M32 is working on the following connections...

    Terminal Description
    R 24VAC
    G Fan control
    Y1 First stage cooling
    W1 First stage heating
    C 24VAC common

    And Hunter 44260 has
    Terminal Description
    Rh, R and VR - 24 Volt
RC, VC - 24 Volt Cool
    G - Fan
    Y,C,M,o - Air Conditioning Compressor
    W, H Heating
    Y1 Heat Pump Compressor

NOw based on the description I can match it to the following

OLD Stat - New Hunter Stat
R - RH and RC ( with Jumper)
    G - G
Y1 - Y ( NOTE since Old compressor says AC compressor) HELP!!
    W1 - W

Leave C unwired... Mistake which I did for 3 months was I attached C to (Y,C,M) of HUnters and Y1 is attached to Y1.

    Connect G TO G
Connect Old Y1 TO Y ( NOTE since Old Thermostat description says AC compressor) HELP!! and NOT Y1 on Hunter stat
    W1 - W

Y is for the outside unit Cooling.
Leave C unattached and taped up. Your hunter does not use it from what I can see of the Hunter wiring you provided.
