    How to remove the stopper
My tub is draining slowly. I am sure hair just below the stopper is causing this. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to remove the stopper. This style doesn't have the adjusting rod with a ball up above. It merely opens and closes by turning 1/4 turn.

    Any help is appreciated.

Hey speedball1... you seem quite knowledgeable... please help.

Hair is clogging the bathtub drain. I have unscrewed the little knob on the stopper, but still can't seem to pull the stopper up.

    Thanks,

    thanx,
If this is your stopper,(see image) then it unscrews out of the drain. See the threads on the bottom?

    Dbtieitup:

See my picture below... if this looks like yours, you can see that after removing the screw this WILL just pop up and off.

The trick with this is as you did, unscrew the screw holding stopper on (may need to unscrew the screw completely out... just don't drop it... ;) ), and then twist it around until you find the spot that this just pulls up and off with. It is small area.. so just keep spinning... will find the exact spot and when you do, it just pulls up and off.. try it... let us know... MARK
