Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan housing won't come down
We have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan that we need to get off the ceiling. We have installed and removed many ceiling fans over the years, but this one is a problem. The builder did not leave the instructions after installing the unit 7 years ago.

After picking away at this thing most of the day, we're left with the upper decrative cover and the part that attaches to the fixture box. These two pieces are held together by 6 screws the heads of which are covered by the bottom of the piece that covers the fixture box in the ceiling. These are the only pieces left to remove - the tube the wires come through and the motor have both been removed. We've tried twisting, pushing up and twisting - everything. There are no visible screws to get the fixture cover piece off the ceiling - and no place for it to go out of the way if we did. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

The part closest to the ceiling has a decorative ring that hides the screws. It twists off.
