These are the problems I couldn't find answers for. So pleas help me if you can. Thank you!

    1) Which of these statements is true?

    a) Molecules form atoms that in turn determine chemical properties of a substance.
    b) Molecules are the smallest subdivision of matter that still retains chemical properties
    c) Chemical elements are made up of about 100 distinct molecules.
    d) A molecule is the smallest particle that exists.
    e) None of these statements is true.

    2) If a gram of antimatter meets a kilogram of matter, the amount of mass to survive is

    a)1 gram.
b)999 grams. I think this is the answer.
    c)1 kilogram.
    d)1.1 kilogram

    3) To change mercury into gold, a pair of protons must be

    a) removed from the mercury nucleus.
    b) added to the mercury nucleus.
    C) both of these.
    d) neither of these

    1) I think a is true, and molecules are made of atoms, which are their-fore smaller than them.

Umm, I think q3 is d (neither of these) because mercury has an atomic mass of 80, while gold has an atomic mass of 79.

If my thinking is right, you need to knock 1 proton off the mercury.

Note: I am no expert, but I enjoy this sort of stuff, so if there is anything to back me up, go with it!

    `1) is definitely e)

    Atoms form molecules
    Atoms are the smallest division
There are about 100 distinct elements
    There are sub-atomic particles

    999g will remain

And you need to d) none of the above, remove one proton
