I need to buy a gift for my friend, who's really into horses. She really wants a new equine veternary encyclopedia, but there are so many on the market! I only ride occasionally, so I'm not the best judge. I want to buy her a good one, that she'll use for years, but not break my pocketbook in the process. Does anyone have any ideas? Even a company that comes out with good encyclopedias for other animals would be welcome as they might have horse literature as well! Please help! :eek: :eek:

Just look for an encylclopedia with how to ride horses, breed of horses, taking care of horses, and veteranary information. All that will be great! If not just look for a good one with lots of precise Vet. Information in it. For example, how to tell if the horse has laminitis and how to treat different emeergency situations. I hope this helps!

I ended up ordering her the 'Horseman's Veterinary Encyclopedia' and it was a big hit. Thanks for the advise.
