    How do I remove rotors from car
    I want to replace the pads and rotors on my 1991 Buick Park Avenue. I have done this on Ford products but I am not sure if it is the same on a Buick. Are there any "tricks" to removing the old rotors? Thank you for your help.

    Very hard to say. Driven rotors are the harder.

    It should be similar to the steps below:

    . Remove lower caliper pin bolt.
    . Remove brake pads.
    . Raise caliper all the way and slide off top caliper pin.
    . Support caliper by wire--don't let it hang by the brake line.
    . Remove both caliper bracket bolts.
    . Remove both stud clips holding disk to hub.
    . Remove disk.

    Begin by matching the pads and rotors to make certain that you have the correct replacement parts.
    Collapse the caliper piston into the caliper. Then remove the caliper.

    Support the caliper clear of the work area.

    The brake rotors are likely corroded and bonded to the drive hub. Some areas will experience higher levels of corrosion.
    If replacing the rotors, removal may need to be done with a large hammer and rust penetrating spray, applied to the contact points.
    With the caliper out of the way, sharp and repeated blows from the inside out, rotating periodically, will eventually loosen the rotor.

    After removal, clean thoroughly the hub contact surfaces and caliper mounting contact surfaces.
