Drain king nozzle stuck in straight pipe 8" down from kitchen cabinet floor, seems to be some ridge that I can't pull the nozzle back through........ I cut the pipe under the sink to try to get to the nozzle and that is how I was able to measure how far down the obstruction is..........if i cut the hose would it be possible to snake (auger) the 8" of hose and 4" nozzle through the drain to the septic tank... tank is approx. 25' from drain??

Good plan but No! You would be snaking against the flow and there's no way of telling where the auger would end up. Has the nozzle been deflated fully? First I would lay some muscle on the hose and see if I couldn't gorilla that nozzle back out. If that failed I would try to break the nozzle up and bring it back ib pieces. Send a snake with a cutter tip, (see image) down and try to break it up. You may also use a spade tip,(see image). Rent or purchase a snake that has changeable tips amd pull that sucker back the same way it went in. good luck, Tom

Hi all:

Hey... is this on the first floor kitchen with access to the ptrap from downstairs? If so, try removing as Tom suggested. If will not come back (deflate and just plain ol' yank, like Tom said... should come out), you may need to cut the p-trap/pipe in basement, remove drain king, and then replace p-trap/pipe drain via no hub clamps (see picture).

Thank you for your response... two things... how can I tell
If the nozzle is deflated, if it isn't how do I deflate it or will it make a any difference when I use the auger??
I am a female, living alone so laying some serious muscle on it will have it's limitations.
I will rent the auger with the tips but do I cut the hose off at the pipe and then try the auger with the tip?? Will the auger cut up the hose and the metal end of the hose and drain king metal end.
Also, I don't understand about going against the flow I would be augering from the kitchen sink pipe and it goes out to the septic... so is that against the flow?

You can't snake against the flow because you can never be sure oif where the snake will come up, You have many branches connecting to the main. Your kitchen sink is just one of them.
Before you rent a power snake try this. Take a sharp pointed object and poke some holes in the inflatable nozzel, See if you can get it to deflate down to where it can be pulled out. I would just as soon you pulled it out in one piece but if you have to bring it out in pieces then so be it. Poke some holes in that sucker and let me know3 if that made things any easier. Sultansahara... you did disconnect the hose from the end that is attached to faucet... right? Totally disconnect the hose from the faucet and that is what allows the drain king to deflate completely. I have seen more then one person forget to disconnect the hose entirely from faucet and that did not help things. Once I disconnected and yanked.. they came out.. each time... but I am probablty a little bigger then you.. ;)

If that does not do it... I like Tom's idea a lot.. poke some holes with a kabob skewer.. and see if that helps.

OR.. ask a friend for help.. these things can get really stuck.. a good PUSH DOWN with a good YANK BACK should do it. Good luck!
