    B1 to L1
Hi, I'm a B1 visiter in US from China, my B1 visa is expired on Jun 2008. Now I just got approved a L1 visa, but when I went to apply a social security number, the officer told me that I need a I-94 form with L1.
My question is how to change the status of I-94/B1 to I-94/L1, Do I need to do a stamping interview in China? If so, when is a perfect time? Can I do it now?
    Thanks in advance.

I don't think the China consulate can help you with the I-94, issued by the U.S.. Better check with the Immigration to see whether they require you to go out of the country then come back.
