    Business credit card
I am being sued by a creditor for a business credit card issued to a company name I closed in 2004. Can they freeze my personal account(and yes I signed at the time for the credit card)and am I liable for the amount even though I closed the company in 2004?

Depends on 1) how you signed for the account, 2) what was the structure of the business and 3) how the business was closed.

If you signed personally for the card, then you are liable. If the business was not incorporated or setup for limited liability, then you are liable. If you just closed the business, not declared bankruptcy, then you may also be liable since you shouldn't have closed the business leaving outstanding debts.

Was this business a corporation, and was the card gotten though the corporation, and if a corp did you sign to be perosnally liable for it.

If your business was merely you as a sole owner or partnership, then normally yes they can come after your personal money for payment

Business Credit Card Machines [ 1 Answers ]

My boyfriend and I have a Friday night tradition of going to see a late movie and then occasionally afterwards, grabbing some ice cream. The only place really open is McDonald's and a few other fast food places, so we usually just stop at McD's. It's usually about 1am, but for the past maybe, 2...
