Need guidance on first landscaping project.
So I want to spruce up the back yard and I am having problems in deciding what type of plants to go with. I have a small back yard and I wanted some smaller plants preferably at least one which is very fragrant. I would like some semi exotic looking yet easy to care for since I can be a little absent minded. The would be in direct sunlight for the most part. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know a lot about landscaping, but my grandmother when I was a child has a lilac bush in her yard, and through the spring it smelled so beautiful. She's not into gardening much so I doubt she did much but trim it.

My Grandma has a lilac bush as well. I know exactly what your talking about. They're so fragrant and smell so sweet.
