    H4 dependent eligibility
    Hi,

I came to US from India on 28-Aug-2007. I got married in July-2006 and my wife came to US on 07-Jan-2008 on H4 visa. I would like to file my Taxes as 'Married filing jointly'.

I am confused if I am eligible to file as 'Married filing jointly', as she was physically not here in US in 2007.

Any clarification / help in this regard is highly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Ash
