    Property taxes
I receive social security disability and there are no taxes taken from this income. I own a house and pay property taxes. How can I claim this if I can't claim the SSDI ? I am paying taxes and can't anything back - why? Is there a tax law that says if you have non taxable income and own property that you get nothing back?:

They don't give you anything back because property taxes are not the same as the taxes you pay to the federal government, I believe. People don't get a tax return on their property taxes, just income taxes.
