    Filed 1040A instead of 1040NR
    Hi,

    I am software professional, I filed taxes with form 1040A couple of day's back but now I hear that I should have filed 1040 NR since I am out of US since April 30 2007.
    What should I do ?

    File form 1040x - amended return.

    On the basis of the information provided by you, it is hard to say if you need to file resident return or nonresident return.

    If you are sure you file wrong return, then you will file 1040X and properly prepared 1040NR.

    I am in India since May 1 2007, But I still have valid L1A I am not sure whether with the current plan I will be in US this year.
    I E-filed 1040A online from India.
