    Client location
    Hi,

    My wife works at client loaction in NC. Her employer is in NJ. Can we claim the expenses (rent, transportation, medial and food) incurred in NC. She is on H1B.

    No, you cannot. Even though she works at a different location than her employer, the IRS considers that to be a PERMANENT job relocation once she exceeds one year on site.
