Theft Under 5000 ontario
So, I stole money from my employer of 1200 I admitted because I know nothing about law or being interrogated. They have me on camera. I have a lawyer. My disclosure says that the crown is seeking custody! I don't know... Am I going to go to jail? This is my first offence...

Hopefully somebody can answer cause stealing from your employer is probably treated much different and stricter than shoplifting.

Hey Pamela,
How's your case comes out, as I got a friend with this similar situation. I just want to get some ideas and help her to get more understanding. Thanks.

OP has not been back since May - there are other threads on the same subject. Use the search feature and you'll find them.
I saw and answered your other post - is this for you or for a friend?

The court was really tough on me... which is acceptable... I have a conditional sentence which means this will always be on my record... I have a probation officer which I will have to get permission from to go anywhere... can't drink or do any drugs.. can't go to any establishment that serves alcohol... I have to make a $500 donation to a charity... restitution... community hours... A LOT... But I deserve it... Live and learn

I know, you may not have anted to respond to what happened to you, but it is nice hearing about what happened after as I am in the same situation.
