    I was arrested for I.D theft in December. My case hasn't been filed, will I go to jai
    So I know what I did was wrong beyond wrong! I have a great job right now and have so many bills to pay for. I have never been in trouble with the law before. And yes I do have an attorney who is helping me out with this. My question is will I see jail time? If I go to jail I will lose my job, and probably my truck as well. It's my first offence. I am in the state of Oregon. I just need some good advice on what I should do.

    It is just to hard to tell. Yes you can, my guess will be probation if you have a good job and this is your first offense.

    Depends on the degree really, I mean if it's a 3rd or 4th degree and your a first time offender then probably not... now be careful because they can give you county time but your lawyer can request different programs as a substitute, for instance day reporting. That's a program where u'll do the jail time they sentenced you to do but its your days off, you'll go there, work for a few hours, then go home... they also have a program where you go in fri morning get released sun. midnight. You'll do this until your time is done... talk to your lawyer, and if jail time in unavoidable, find out if he can work programs to substitute that jail time.
