jmx joint? Pills not working? Que?
I'm a women and this is a health question hope I'm in the right place...
so no stress no injurys to my jaw or face had a popping when I opend my mouth saw my doc he said it was nuthing mabie the jaw was out and it would go back in. couple weeks later the popping was worse there was pain and my jaw locked I saw my docters partner and he said it was inflammation of a joint in my jaw so he gave me novo-triptyn 10mg and novo-difenac SR 100mg one each a day so I took it for a week and it started to help but as soon as I stopped taking it my jaw started popping and locking again. So I went and saw my regular doctor again and he said OK then take this and get an x-ray so I got my x-ray and I've been on diclofenac sodium/misoprostol 75mg twice a day but at first I had wicked stomach cramps but now they subsided and I'm fine when I take the pills but I'm frustrated it says take the pills with food but I can't open my mouth to eat to take the pills, that and the pills don't work!! I feel no pain killing going on because my jaw hurts like a bastard I trained myself to keep it close and eat small foods but if I yawn or sneez it hurts and that's with my jaw locked heaven forbid it actually pops and open that hurts like there's no tomorrow and the aniinflamitory part of the pill doent do anything because my jaw is constatly locked or popping so I made an appointment for tomorrow march 5th to go over my x-ray and talk about my pills are there any docs out there that can help me though I want to know if there are questions I should ask about my jaw or if you think this is a certain desese or w.e. let me know what it is so I could ask my doctor. ANYTHING AND EVERYTHINGWELCOME FROM ADVICE TO COMMENTS THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON WEEKS NOW AND IT HURTS AND IS INTERFERING WITH MY LIFE AT THIS POINT ANYTHING HELPS

When you say "doctor" are you meaning dentist?

If you haven't seen your dentist, he/she should be the next person you see. It sounds like you are having problems with your temperomandibular joint (TMJ).

You should be limiting yourself to soft foods (I know, you probably can't get your mouth open wide enough for anything much), anti-inflammatories such as Advil every 6 hours. Apply ice to your jaw joints 10 minutes on, 10 minutes off.

Watch your head and neck posture (especially if you sit at the computer for long periods of time) make sure your shoulders are back and you are tucking your chin down towards your chest (not touching).

Your dentist will probably suggest physiotherapy and/or an occlusal night guard.
